Reynolds Family Livestock

Reynolds Family Livestock is a first-generation family farm in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Owned and operated by Daniel and Lauren Reynolds, our mission is to raise high-quality cattle that support the long-term growth and sustainability of the beef industry. Additionally, we raise quality sheep for 4-H/FFA show projects and grass-fed lamb programs.

We utilize modern breeding technologies and genomic testing to select cattle that are eye-appealing, functional, and excel in foundational traits that drive profitability for commercial and purebred operations alike. Our herd consists of 30 cows, both purebred and commercial, with our commercial cows serving as recipients for our donor females.

As our family grows, so does our vision. We expanded into sheep for our children, Elisabeth and Owen, as a way to introduce them to the livestock industry in a hands-on, structured, and meaningful way.

​

Our sheep operation currently includes six ewes, one ram, and a few replacement ewe lambs. Elisabeth and Owen are involved in every step of the process—breeding, pregnancy checks, lambing, weaning, and sales. Watching them apply the same care and attention we give our cattle to their growing sheep project has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

You’ll find us actively involved in the show ring, showcasing our cattle and sheep genetics at county and state levels. We market and sell Angus bulls and females to operations seeking strong, performance-driven cattle with Angus influence. We're also active members of VCCP (Virginia Club Calf Producers) and consign our cattle into their sales. ​​​

In addition to our own herd, we also offer a variety of cattle related services, such as:

• Show preparation

We’re proud to support our fellow agriculturalists and help them present their livestock at their best. Our commitment to the farming community goes beyond our farm—we’re actively involved in 4-H, FFA, and local beef cattle organizations, giving back to the programs that helped shape us.​
